In 2020, a top-ranked university and research institution with more than 650 degrees and certificate programs and an operating budget of more than $2 billion identified a unique opportunity to leverage its scientific and clinical innovations to become a leader in the biotherapeutics revolution. To capitalize on this opportunity, the University plans to build a ~150,000 sq ft facility focused on cell and gene therapy process development and manufacturing. Additionally, the University is establishing relationships with other academic institutions and corporate partners to create an organization focused on transformational improvements to cell and gene therapy manufacturing processes.
Strategic planning for the facility is currently underway. The University will be an anchor tenant in partnership with a renowned life science research organization at a mixed-use, brownfield site. Groundbreaking is planned for 2023 with operations beginning in 2025.

Then we facilitated the drafting of a transformational funding grant proposal with the University.
The foundation was awarded 100 million dollars of funding to provide the initial investment in the Innovation Hub.
Pintail Solutions' efforts led to negotiations resuming, and the University is now on a path to secure its preferred relationship with the master developer. A formal agreement was entered with an operating partner (an anchor tenant specializing in cell and gene therapy innovation), which was one of the major successes of our engagement with the University. The planned Innovation Hub is back on track to become a state-of-the-art facility that will further enable the University to become a global leader in cell and gene therapy development and manufacturing.
