We've been talking a lot about change lately. Most recently, we talked about walking alongside our team, or client for that matter. Just walking alongside our employees is not enough.

I'm going to quote an Aboriginal activist group from Queensland, Australia. If you come to help me, you're wasting your time. If you have come, because your liberation is bound with mine, then let us work together. I'll repeat that, if you have come to help me, you're wasting your time. If you have come, because your liberation is bound with mine, then let us work together.

As you reflect on that, how well is your success within your organization bound together among all your employees, among your different functions, among your different groups? How well is your mission bound together consistently and holistically throughout your company? How well is your passion bound together for what you're doing and most importantly, why you're doing it?

If you can commit your entire team to the why, to the strategy, and get them all moving in the same direction, you'll be bound not only in mission, but you'll be bound at the heart. You'll be bound at the soul. If you're dancing on a cutting edge of change, you might bleed together, but you'll move forward, bound together, and you will make a difference.

We are working with a technology company not only in how they bind their mission together within their organization, but also how they bind their mission to their customer's mission, their customer's objective, the impact their customers are trying to make. You want to create customer stickiness? If you want to create long-term partnerships, you need to bind your liberation together with theirs.
